Conscientious Objector (CO)
Conscientious objectors are people who because of religious, political or philosophical principles refuse to participate directly in war or preparation for war.
Such individuals refused to be coerced by the state into inflicting violence to others against personal conscience. Usually CO's are only too aware that violence begets violence and war is never a solution to life's problems.
