come to mean the right of nations to liaise with other nations in a
peacefull framework.
The term was first used by Russia in 1934 in the League of Nation, and now is widely recognised internationally. Implied is the right of each nation to establish its own political/economic system (capitalist, communist or other) without external threat and also simplied is a recognition of International Law.
Peacefully co-existing nations would be expected to have links with other nations across many areas of life - trade, tourism, transport, diplomatic and other mutually advantageous areas (e.g. cultural exchanges, crime, etc.) The term peaceful co-existence recognises the need for accommodation of diverse views in an increasingly interdependent world.
